Ben Nelson
Founding Partner
Attorney Ben Nelson is a founding partner at Black Rock Law Group, where he serves as outside general counsel to clients in industries including technology, construction, real estate, healthcare, and financial services. His practice covers business formation and governance, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, employment and HR matters, and complex contract negotiation.
Before founding Black Rock, Ben was General Counsel for NOW CFO and a transactional associate at Pia Anderson Moss Hoyt. He began his legal career with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, gaining early experience in corporate finance and regulatory compliance.
Ben earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School, with a concentration in Corporate and Securities Law. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management (Strategy Emphasis) from Brigham Young University.
Ben is known for providing practical, business-focused legal advice that helps clients navigate both daily operations and complex transactions with clarity and confidence.
Dallin Littlefield
Founding Partner
Attorney Dallin Littlefield is an experienced Criminal Defense attorney at Black Rock Law, with extensive experience on both sides of the courtroom. Having served as a prosecutor for various government entities, including the Utah Attorney General’s Office, Dallin brings a unique perspective to his defense practice. His prosecutorial background makes him an effective advocate in negotiations, helping to secure favorable outcomes for his clients.
Dallin graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo with a major in Psychology. He then earned his Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law. His diverse background includes serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ghana, West Africa, as well as gaining experience in retail pharmaceuticals, real estate, legislative processes, and municipal government.
Dallin is dedicated to simplifying complex legal situations for his clients. He consistently implements new systems and processes into his daily practice to save clients money, increase case efficiency, and provide the utmost clarity. His relentless and efficient approach embodies the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service.
